dude, she'll snap the heels
So I know I've been like, awful with updating. Let me just give you a slight glimpse of what we've been up to the past month or so... and maybe you'll kind of get it.
So we finished the first book out of the gate over goal [yay for me] and the second one is on track to do even better [yay me again]. Also, I'm making a ton of money [the best part!]. Unfortunately, many nights I'm working until 7 and by the time I get home it's relax with Brett or come on here [I must also add he's currently asleep on the couch which is why I found 10 minutes to update this]
We own a house! Yay!!!!! Yes, on March 27, we closed on our house! We're actually all moved in already and have already started doing things around here to make it much more "us." Ethan & Erica, Jeremy, Scott, and Mike [who just got engaged- woo hoo for people getting married!] all came up help us move and everything went awesome. The best part? Brett cooked for everyone. I am so lucky to be marrying a man who not only loves to cook, but is amazing at it as well! So we've been unpacking and fixing things up and this weekend my dad came up and him and Brett did some outside stuff while I put down a new floor in the kitchen.. yes, all by myself.
But not only did we have the closing. I took a trip to NY the weekend before the closing by myself [Brett was on call] to have a girls weekend... and ended up being suprised with a Bridal Shower! It was soo awesome. My sister, amazing as she is, got me a tiara that said bride to be [kickass] and had personalized chapsticks as favors which i thought were totally awesome. She also made every single invitation by hand and hand addressed them. [NOTE: which is why anyone saying they never got them is bullshit. pick up the phone]. They were beautiful though. But it was so cool to see my family that I don't get to see a lot, and my girls! my bridesmaids! My cousin Lauren [one of my bridesmaids] and my aunt threw the shower for me, but my awesome HLM
pinkhollywood, and sparkie and carolyn all came! I hate the fact that the beautiful Mel D is in Cali livin it up, but she got up-to-the-minute pics from Diane, who did come and join in the fun. My sister had all these cool games, we all drank mimosas and champagne in the middle of the day, and i got some totally awesome gifts. So all in all, the entire weekend was awesome...I do have to add in, however, that I can't wait for Heather's and Lauren's showers cause those stupid bow hats should totally be outlawed, but I will take full advantage of getting married first and getting back at them last!
Brett and I are hard at work getting everything finalized for the wedding too. We reserved the limos, have an appointment to finalize the music, i have my appointment for my final bridal fitting, and the bridesmaids dresses should be here in a few weeks! We sat down the other night and picked the readings for the ceremony and also went over our wedding vows. It was actually romantic. We're so excited that it's only 3 months away... I can't wait.. and the time is flying by. It'll be so nice to take a honeymoon too.. after all this craziness with the house and the wedding and both our jobs, it'll be nice to just get away and be alone. I just need to get the favors finishes up, the invites are at the printer, and soon they'll be mailed. Oh, please respond when you get those, by the way.
Anyway, I better get to bed. It's Monday and I've got a long week ahead....
