So sleepy this morning. My eyes were leaden this morning when the alarm went off and so tired and resistant to opening that I haven't put my contacts in yet. Does not bode well for the 5:30am work start time tomorrow. In any case, there's a few items making me at peace with the universe for the moment...
1) My fangirl-yet-fair review of the Game of Thrones blurays was retweeted by the show's official twitter. I'm pretty much in geek heaven over that (and
you can read the review here, should you wish).
2) For BBC Night, my friend and I watched Starter for 10 last night, which I've owned for about three years and never viewed. We added it to the list due to Cumberbatch's presence (and James *swoon* McAvoy), but were astonished with all the great British actors in it (Simon Woods, Catherine Tate, Dominic Cooper, Alice Eve, Rebecca Hall, James Corden, Lindsey Duncan, Charles Dance). And then there was this:
Yeah, we almost fell off my couches.
3) BBC Movie week. Provided I have the energy for it, bearing in mind that I have to get up at 4:30am tomorrow, tonight may mark the best streak of seeing BBC movies I've had in quite some time. Monday was The Decoy Bride (so adorable), last night was see above, and tonight I have passes to see Salmon Fishing in the Yemen. Lots of Scots in these movies...
4) Game of Thrones. The blurays are robbing sleep from me and I don't care. Series two is fast approaching and my office is abuzz with excitement for it.
5) Headphones. When the chatter in the office gets overwhelmingly loud (which it can as we have a few people who work here who just don't get the concept of an inside voice...), headphones save me. A lot. Also, I'm getting a new set of them so I can retire the poor, ratty pair that are falling to bits more and more everyday. Good headphones deserve to retire in peace, not pieces.
