My cuter half just discovered last night when we watched the DVD extras that not only is the star of The Mentalist not American (born in Tasmania, how cool is that?) but the secondary lead also is not American, but Welsh.

Mentioned only because that would make Owain Yeoman the anti-Scott Grimes. Or maybe his reciprocal.

My three words is a cheat, four words, but one of them is very small.

Something like 40 years ago I had that aria on a "Ghiaurov sings Russian Dudes" or something album. Had forgotten all about it. Found it early this morning in the process of a YouTube all-nighter, downloaded it, and keep watching the singer, who has blond curls and a Nehru jacket and looks barely old enough to shave. And just the pudgiest little cheeks. So un-basso to the eye, but the voice certainly has those depths there.

While I was pregnant with my daughter (who, coincidentally, was conceived 40 years ago yesterday!) I would play that track over and over, and cry. [Pregnancy always turned me into an emotional basket case.]
