only 4 more days!!!
I am so ready to be in Brazil!!! After my last exam yesterday I spent the afternoon shopping for some clothes and such, and found a storage unit for my furniture until i figure out where i'm going to stay next. I swear, I'm a little nomad. I never seem to stay in the same place for long (at least not this year). By the time I get back from my trips and figure out my living situation, that will have been my third move this year.
Most of my stuff is packed up already. Luckily I don't have much more than clothes, school stuff, toiletries, and some games and such. I'm going to try my hardest to get all my stuff for Brazil into my big travel backpack, but that may be wishing for too much. I've developed an attachment to my hairdryer and straightner since getting all my hair chopped off and i'm wondering if it would be really silly of me to bring them. I also don't know if the resort has outlets i can use and the last thing i want to do is lug around a huge converter. That's really my only "girl thing" i guess. I feel silly for admitting to it because I know its for my own silly reasons. I hardly doubt anyone in the middle of nowhere Brazil is really going to care what my hair looks like.
I've also decided not to take the malaria pills. They made me so restless last year in Peru and the ones that were recommended to me this year can make your stomach upset. Plus, I won't be staying in malaria areas for either of my trips and I'm taking vitamin B-1 plus I've got a really nice natural bug spray. I'm hoping all of those combined will help make my trips more bearable. And of course, that I don't happen to get malaria by some chance. But hey, I paid crazy amts of money for travel health insurance so i guess thats what its there for. At least I have all my vaccinations. Except rabies, because I just didn't see the need for that one. One less needle for me!
I'm hanging out with my friend Melissa today who I haven't seen in a lonnng time. She is moving to Asheville for the summer and I would be so totally jealous if I wasn't going to be away. If gas isn't insanely high when I get back, I will probably go stay with her and play in the mountains. I'm also hanging out with Marlin tonight because I won't be here to celebrate his 21st with him on Sunday. I'm going to surprise him with some mucho margarita cupcakes from VCTOTW and i hope they turn out okay. I can't say I'm a huge fan of margaritas, but most of the people I asked in the vegan and vegan cooking communities totally loved these cuppers, so lets hope he will as well!!
Andd grades are being released! My male teachers are slackers and I probably won't have those final grades until later this week. My math teacher did put our grades up last night and I got a B. Super :) Now I'm just waiting for chem. . . I have a feeling most of my grades will be B's this semester. WHATEVER, IM DONE!!!!!
I better go get my day started
