Yeh, nothing too exciting has happned, so I just haven't gotten around to update until now...
I'm busy with life and school now, and working out occationally. I'm at school from around 8 until 4 every day, and I actually get a lot of studying done. Also, it is nice to get up early and go to bed early. But, I need to actually be better at writing papers and such, and also be better at working with the actual laws. So, that is my goals for the coming weeks.
I am working out again now, but I need to get my arse down to the gym more often. I do love a good work-out, and it still feels so nice to run again. But, speaking of running. I so wish that the snow would go away and the weather would be a bit milder, coz I so want to go run outside. It just isn't the same to run on the treadmill. But, seeing as I live in Norway, I have to just accept that we have winter and snow. Sometimes the treadmill can be ok though, esp if you're gonna keep a fast pace for a while, coz you have to just keep up with the pace you're setting unless you want to fall off, it's easier to slow down a bit when you're not running on the treadmill. Also, when I do run really fast on the treadmill, I find that the Glee version of Proud Mary is the best song to listen to!
I am kind of thinking about going to the gym today, I'm even wearing my running thighs (but that's mostly coz they're so darn comfortable), but we'll see, it's so freaking cold outside.
Unlike last weekend, this weekend has been great! On Friday I kind of slept in, then did some school work. I headed off to the gym to meet Melonie around 3, and I almost killed myself on the treadmill (but it felt nice). After that, Melonie and I went to meet up with another friend of ours for a hot chocolate. When my friend Siri came home from work, we went to her place and made pizza and just had a girl's night in with tv, a movie and lots of gossip and giggling.
Yesterday my family (mum, step-dad, grandma and grandpa) came for a little visit. Grandma gave me a new dresser, with I am using as a nightstand now. I love it, it's so neat! We also went to IKEA, and just had a look around and bought some stuff. In the evening I kind of wanted to go and see Spring Awakening (the premiere was on Friday, and it got good reviews), but I couldn't be bothered, so I stayed in and watched Chess In Concert instead.
So, yes, I would like to take a little time to flail about Chess In Concert!! I loved it!
First of all, I now really hate myself for not actually going to the concert. I really wanted to go, and I almost bought tickets. The thing that stopped me was that I wasn't used to travel alone back then. But, for real, I so hate myself for not going now. But, thankfully, they did make a dvd of it though...
I loved the story, and the music was just simply stunning. All the people in it were brilliant!!!
I was most blown away by Idina's performance though. I thought she did an excellent job! I especially love her version of Nobody's Side. I had that on repeat countless times yesterday.
Kerry Ellis' version of Someone Else's Story were also brilliant. And, Idina and Kerry singing I Know Him So Well is just made of win!
Apart from that, I also really loved the very last scene. I cried a lot during that one (but also at various other parts of the show).
Needless to say, I have a new obsession now!
Some drama from last weekend:
I got he blame for something that was not my fault. My boss and ass. manager had messed up the work plan, and that ended in me getting the blame for the station not being opened on Saturday morning. But, it was not my fault at all, they and the other person who works weekends with me had made a big mess. But, in the end, I guess my boss stopped blaming me... Still, it was so uncalled for when my boss called me and blamed me for everything! Argh!!
It's the last day of Jan now, and so far I'm doing good with the movie watching. I wartched 11 movies this month, so I think I will make it to 100 this year.
Here's the movies I've watched so far:
Click me! Ok, enough for now. I am gonna go and obsess some more over Chess now :P
