So about that PaleyFest spoiler...
Can everyone chill out just a bit? I mean, I know it's a new and kind of dangerous idea that Cas could have a childhood, and I know there are a million ways it could go wrong...
But it could also be amazing. And super fun. And really great fic fodder. And part of the fun of fandom for me is making new canon fit. We've been dying for more Cas all season, and now we're getting it. We're getting his POV, even! I'm pretty darn excited about all the potential there.
...and I'm sure there'll be no eggfic...Ben Edlund said no puppets, so I think we're shooting for drama, not crack. What's not to like about heavenly angst?
Personally, I think Cas/Balthazar and Cas/Raphael shippers should be thrilled right now. And so should the D/C or Sassy shippers, since more Cas screentime can only be a good thing for them. The only people who should be upset before we really know anything are the Cas haters, and who really cares what they think? ;)

In other news, I'm going out of town for a week. We think we'll have Internet, but I'm not sure, so don't be alarmed if I'm MIA and I'm sorry in advance if I'm not the best LJ friend. I'll catch up when I get back.
