Hey you! This is Tara, from NCCC (Blue 5, Blue 6 and Green 1). I just found your live journal and I've been reading it (hope that's ok) and it's good to see that other NCCCers are feeling the same things I am. Did you know the winter campuses were actually taking 2nd year CM's? I applied to do it (I applied in July) in Perry Point, but actually had to turn it down because I work at Habitat for Humanity now here in Kansas City. It's another Americorps position, but I am the Volunteer Coordinator and Faith Relations Coordinator. I love the job, it's wonderful... what a great feeling to wake up every day and know that I am making sure people in my neighborhood are out of substandard housing, and in liveable conditions. That because I go to work every day, and make sure we have volunteers, there are 10 families who by December, will have a safe place to sleep and my little Habitat Angels (the homeowners kids that i've kind of adopted) are off the streets. I was so glad to see that you were going to work at Habitat today! You go kiddo! Good for you... spread that good spirit of yours. I miss you! Hope all is well! e-mail me sometime, LaughingLamb@aol.com. Big hugs and kisses... ~Tara
