Bones!

I am so sad about the missing interns. House made me hate them by making them the focus; Bones made me love them by downplaying their importance (and creating some truly compelling/entertaining characters), and now that they've gotten rid of them (however temporarily), I want them back!

I cannot get over how terrible Brennan's haircut is. It makes her hair look thin and ill-cared-for, the length is dowdy, and oh, the bangs! The bangs! A crime against beauty. Actually, it's rather similar to Heidi Klum's recent haircut: a bob with bangs that ages her before she deserves, is not even close to stylish, and lessens the impact of the pretty face underneath.

Bones did a Bill Nye episode! Hurrah for my childhood. :P Except they made his name totally goofy and weird to hear. Though how awesome was it to hear Brennan running around calling him "Dude"?

It does bother me how everything Hodgins finds is impossibly rare and only found in, like, two square miles in rural Idaho. Obviously he'd only mention the stuff that helps them, but he is ALWAYS able to tell EXACTLY where the victim was before they were killed, and it's frustrating. I like it better when he pulls a shard of metal out of the wound, analyzes it, and gives the intern a list of things it's made into for comparison with the size & shape of the wound. That is reasonable, realistic, logical science. The show is starting to rely on Hodgins's wizard-like powers too much.

I also hate when they make Booth look like an idiot. You've dealt with body-sniffing dogs before: you know about the signaling-by-lying-down. And you made the exact same exasperated comment the last time. But the digging joke was cute.

And that's not the only idea they recycled: we've already had a bounty-hunter episode, guys. On the other hand, they reappropriated the "THE LAB" sign from "The End in the Beginning", so sometimes recycling of ideas is AWESOME.

"No less precise than profiling a suspect" - so, not very precise at all, then. There's a skill to it, absolutely, but profiles are wrong as often as they're right, and they're usually just so vague as to be totally unhelpful.

Ok, the ending was adorable. I don't get why they put Brennan in that outfit, but still: adorable.

I need to start talking about other shows again, don't I? I certainly watch enough of them! But for now, I'm tired and I'm getting sick. Goodnight.
