Bones + HIMYM

God, I hate Brennan's new hair.

The theme of this episode was SUPER obvious. Come on, guys: jealousy and unexpected twists in love? Lame. And expected.

Hannah is pretty awesome - I love the way she responds to Brennan, even if it's somewhat unrealistic. She's clearly not the jealous type, either, which I both appreciate and admire. And gorgeous, obviously, in that strong-boned way I really like (see: Morgana on Merlin, though to be fair, that's as much about her freaking unbelievable coloring as anything else. If I could choose to look like anything, that's pretty much exactly what I'd choose). Booth has MUCH better taste in women (Rebecca excepted) than Brennan does in men (Booth himself excepted, of course). Brennan, Hannah, the marine biologist I liked: he goes for smart, opinionated, confident, gorgeous women. Brennan tends to date guys that make me go, "Mehhhhhh." But on the other hand, everyone else in their lives is spending WAY too much time prodding them about this. And I'm on their side! Calm down, guys. This is absurd. NO ONE is that invested in their friends' relationships.

I continue to love the way Cam dresses. It's maybe a bit much for her workplace, but her dresses are GORGEOUS. The women on this show are probably the best-dressed and the most appropriately dressed of any procedural currently on TV, and I particularly love that each woman has her own distinctive style. The costumers on this show are sadly underappreciated.

That is NOT, however, how allergies work, at least not to an unconcentrated dose of pollen. Lots of sneezing, sure, but it's not really that uncontrollable, threatening-to-kill-you kind.

Decent episode. Glad to have my show back, and looking forward to seeing where they go. But this was not particularly memorable, as Bones goes.

And then there's HIMYM, about which I have less to say:

I love that Ted is now, like, Robin's gay best friend. No idea how they got there, but it entertains me greatly and adds a really fun, familiar dynamic to their relationship that I love. This is how I like them best: very fond of each other, very comfortable with each other, but with no thought of sex. It's also why I didn't particularly like them as a couple, because when you throw romance into the mix, things get weird.

I too like Barney and Ted together. Thank you, Marshall and Lily, for that bit of adorability.

However, Ted: I do not like this jeans-plus-vest look on you. Not sure why, because I ought to love it (I loved this, after all), but I think it just doesn't work on you and kinda makes me roll my eyes. Maybe you're just not a vest man.

Yay, TV! Also, um, hi again. I can't make any promises - I've started an internship which sends me to New York for 14 hours three days a week, and this basically leaves me exhausted all the time and awfully busy - but I'm actually going to try to stick around more now. It's easier now that TV is back. :D
