It's 10 PM on Christmas Eve, and the city streets are pretty much deserted. It's gorgeous, not creepy like it would be at 4 AM. In an hour, I'll take myself off to Notre Dame to go to the carol concert and Midnight Mass, and then tomorrow I'll spend the day watching as many Christmas movies as I can.
Christmas in Paris would be glorious with someone I loved. Alone, it's a little sad, but it's probably better than anywhere else.
