A variety of things. Whoo!

If you haven't yet, read this metaquotes entry on Obama's geekiness. I fully believe that all of these are true, and the best part? There's nothing to suggest it might be otherwise. :P

The hamster-tunnel stairway on the front of the Centre Pompidou is lit up red tonight, instead of white. I'm not sure if it's supposed to be seasonal, but it just looks like hellfire.

I have abruptly snapped out of that weird depression I was going through. It may come back, but for whatever reason, some sort of switch just flipped while I was sitting in class today. It wasn't even a very good class. No clue. I don't think I'm bipolar. If I start being weirdly energetic and not sleeping and going insane, I'll let you know.

Also, this summer workshop on paleo-DNA would be absolutely PERFECT for me, but even doing it for no course credit, it's $2500 (Canadian, but it's more or less equal now, or was) for a three-week program, plus housing and food, and I don't think I can justify that, especially since it would have to be my parents paying for it, as I will probably have no money left after this semester. No matter how FREAKING AWESOME it would be. Especially since it probably overlaps with my finals and other cool end-of-semester-oh-my-God-my-friends-are-graduating things.

How I Met Your Mother continues to be unbelievably awesome. Much love. :D Loved the boy/girl bonding sessions a lot - I like it when it's just Marshall and Barney. They've got a weird, childlike dynamic, almost like siblings vying for their dad's (Ted's, obviously) affection. (Poor Barney. First no real dad, now no surrogate dad.) But they're also clearly good friends and a lot of fun to watch ("Hehehe. Fire marshall!"). Also, I have a sneaking suspicion that I may be a borderline Whoo Girl. Not nearly as bad as them, but I certainly do like to Whoo once in a while. :P
