Things I've Noticed (kinda)

1. Chuck Bass is who Barney Stinson would be if How I Met Your Mother were a teen drama instead of an inane comedy. I think I like him better as he is - Neil Patrick Harris is ADORABLE and AMAZING and AWESOME and OTHER THINGS THAT BEGIN WITH A.

2. I haven't written anything in a long while. I think I may be stumped by my inability to write a fictional account of life at a college radio station, but it's been going on longer than that. It's making me sad.

3. I wish I had more than 15 icons, but I don't want a paid account. Dilemma. Or, not really, just annoyance.

4. Thinking you'll have Bones and then remembering the day before that it's not on for 3 weeks? Is depressing.

5. Do 5- and 6-year-olds typically throw multiple screaming tantrums a day? The family I'm renting a room from has one of each (a daughter and a son), and good Lord, the screaming and crying is beginning to get to me. And I'm not the one who has to deal with it! They cry more than my baby this summer did, and he was 18 months old and couldn't tell me what the problem was! (He was usually hungry, or wanted to be taken out of his crib, or wanted to sit in the puddle but I wouldn't let him. Otherwise, he was easy: I could give him a music toy and it would entertain him for 20 minutes, and he laughed all the time. Most adorable baby EVER.)

6. I should not be sleeping this much: 10 hours a day or so. I go to bed at 2 or 3 AM, set my alarm for 11, and drag myself out of bed around 1. Thankfully, apart from Monday, all my classes are at 1:30 or later (though the 6-9 ones are painful, especially as that's a 45-minute metro trip home). I don't get it. I'm hoping exercise will fix that.

7. Went swimming today! Yay! I missed the smell of chlorine in my skin. But I hate people who don't follow basic lap-swimming etiquette: if the person behind you is faster than you (as evidenced by the fact that they're practically on your feet and attempting to swim a faster stroke than you), you pull aside when you reach the wall and let them pass you. And man, these people were slow. I haven't swum in 2 years, I haven't exercised in 2 months, I am painfully out of shape (a 100 at a good speed hurt), and I was holding myself back to a stressful slowness to avoid running them over. I'll have to find a quieter time to go. Here's hoping that's not 7 AM.
