So I finally saw some of Doctor Who 3x11: Utopia (not the whole thing, because TV Links let me down (it's been doing that a lot, lately), but clips are on YouTube, just not the first ten minutes or so), and I have just one thing to say:
Oh, Captain Jack, I love you, never leave me!
Seriously. There was violent flailing and squealing and computer-hugging and hands-clapping-to-face, because Jack is just as awesome as ever. Hitting on everyone! Running about in clothes as incongruous as the Doctor's! Not dying! Adopting the Ninth Doctor's language! (Oh, that "-and that's FANTASTIC!" made me need to pause the video so I could flip out a whole lot.) Also, his hair is better now. As an aside. :D
I can't believe it took me so long to love Jack - he was only in 5 episodes, back in the first season (series?), and I didn't like him till the third (Boomtown), in which he and Rose and the Doctor were awesomely flirty and threesome-y, and I loved that. I miss them.
But the more I see David Tennant as the Doctor, the more I like him. I think I'll always love Nine more, no matter who plays the Doctor, because he was my first (and he was fantastically intense and that's fun), but I think I love Ten nearly as much now. (But I still prefer Rose to Martha - I just don't click with Martha, and I think she's kind of vaguely annoying, and her mother is awful without the benefit of being amazingly hilarious as well - and so while I don't hate Martha, and never did, I think I'll always love Rose best.)
