I LOVE Bones, guys. In case you didn't know already. :D
Ritual serial murders! Yay! (Um, I'm weird. Why is that my first reaction? Who knows. Lucky I don't have murderous urges!)
Seriously, this show never disappoints. Ok, sometimes it does, but then it fully redeems itself. (Like with Sully. Anyone else think he was creepy? I always thought he was going to be the killer, particularly in the Bodies in the Book.) But this episode? Bliss. :D Just enough conflict/angst to remind us all that these people are extremely screwed up and also very invested in each other, plenty of plot intrigue (ooh, now they have TWO plot arcs going! Anyone remember the Gravedigger? That plotline is so not finished) and rituals and conspiracy theories and really awesome artifacts that made me drool (what can I say? I'm an archaeologist!), and so much love. Oh, the joy when Zack returned! But that poor kid who was rejected. I was starting to like him.
Also, if someone were acting towards me the way Booth was acting towards Brennan, I would be freaking out and avoiding him, because love scares me. So. :D Though I must confess, I want them to stall more. I know that no one else does, but I'm a huge fan of the UST. For years and years, please. :D
Oof. I'd like to analyze this in depth, but I'm afraid I'm not thinking rationally yet. Brennan would be so disappointed. :P
I can't believe how happy I am to have this show back. I'm definitely going to watch that episode again (which, by the way: the Fox website is excellent for that, not like ABC, which kind of freaks out and dies around the last three minutes of the show, AND there are no ads). Oh, God, Bones writers: please, please don't do what House did (as in, have an EXCELLENT season 2 finale, closing 2 seasons of pure genius, begin season 3 with a bang, and then fizzle out and piss off your audience). Please, please don't. I'm really way too happy about this show for that to be an option.
Speaking of which, I have to watch House now. How was it?
