1. I love this, hah. It looks like something I would still doodle now. The jaw is too long and the mouth is at a bad angle. Still much better than the rest of this crap.
2. Angle of the jaw is terrible, but the eyes and nose work well. Collar bone looks kind of ridiculous, though.
3. Oh my god, what a shrub. The mouth and nose are awful, the hair is horrible. That cheek bone is just indicative of how little I actually knew about anatomy. I still kind of suck at cheekbones, but I'd like to think I'm better than THAT.
4. Obviously the hair is a joke, and the eyes are all DARK AND SCARY cause I'm gawth. Hint of hollow cheeks is nice. VERY LONG NOSE.
5. Jaw is better here, ear too. Hair and shape of head are still moopy.
6. I think this was sort of a self portrait with a better nose. I did this a lot, still do. Like the shoulders/neck. Super stylized but I like it anyway. Cute mouth and eyes. Loving the big, expressive dark eyes I'm doing here. And the mouth is much better than a lot of what I was doing in 2008. You don't see it in these doodles, but I often made mouths a series of unconnected lines. The
neumorin phase at it's peak. She doesn't draw like that anymore, but
this and
this pretty much defined my art for all of tenth grade. No exaggeration.
7. Still diggin the dark eyes. Mouth still an improvement even though it is too low down. I only fairly recently noticed that I make noses impossibly long. Jaw is too angular.
8. Neck is just too skinny and stylized and doesn't even look good. Nose is awful. Cute eyes again. Liking the stylized nature of her long mouth. It's just super long and isn't apologetic about it ;)
9. Well this is terrible. Shape of the head is stupid and the way the hair falls looks really unnatural and awkward. That nose is, just, not even a shape. It's trying to LEAVE her face.
SO THERE YA GO. IM SO MUCH BETTER LOLOLOL. ONE AND A HALF YEARS LATER. PRACTICALLY A DIFFERENT PERSON, TBH.
