Chaerin woke up to the sound of erratic knocking coming from the front door downstairs. A little hazy from her sleep, she scrambled to her feet and rubbed at her eyes before stumbling out of her bedroom.
It was probably Tabi. Drunk, or something. It usually was at… Chaerin made her way down the stairs and glanced at the clock.
Yeah. 3am.
Probably Tabi.
Who else would it be, anyway? Ever since she’d started dating the older rapper, she’d cut off most of her ties with the other guys in her life. Teddy-oppa understood; he knew exactly how Tabi tended to get.
But not everyone was…
“I’m coming, I’m coming,” Chaerin mutered to herself, fumbling with the locks before opening the door. She didn’t even have a chance to see who it was before arms were wrapped tightly around her, making her fall back a bit.
“Jiyong..?” Chaerin ignored the honorifics as the other man’s name fell carelessly from her lips, more out of shock than anything else.
Reeking of cigarettes and alcohol, the leader’s arms just tightened around her, as if trying to fuse himself to her.
“Hyunchae.” The other breathed, and Chaerin felt him drop his face into her hair.
Sighing a little, Chaerin shifted to kick the door shut and then placed both hand son Jiyong’s chest, lightly trying to push him back.
“Oppa, you’re drunk.”
Her words fell on deaf ears as the other simply tried to pull her against him again, muttering something else incoherently.
“…don’t…”
Chaerin caught one word and sighed, pushing at Jiyong’s chest again, successfully managing to break the embrace. She took Jiyong’s hand before he could reach for her again and led him over to the couch.
“Wait, no..” Jiyong started, but Chaerin shook her head and gently ushered the other onto the couch and let go of his hand. She looked around for the house phone, picking it up and quickly dialing Tabi’s number.
“I’m going to call Tabi-oppa to come pick you up, okay?” Chaerin spoke slowly, hoping Jiyong understood and pressed call, only to have the phone knocked out of her hand, ending the call immediately. Jiyong grasped at the hem of her shirt.
“No…wanna stay here…stay with you…stay with Hyunchae…mine..”
Chaerin stared at Jiyong, frowning slightly and then gasping when he pulled her forcefully into his lap, burying his face into her shoulder.
Chaerin was unsure of what to do.
It was evident that Jiyong was drunk out of his mind and this had happened a couple times before. But not within the last two months of when she’d started dating Tabi.. In fact, it seemed as though Jiyong had been avoiding her.. Jiyong barely stopped by at all.
“Oppa… I don’t know what you want me to do… You need to go home.” Chaerin pulled back to look at Jiyong’s face, but he tightened his arms around her again, pulling her closer.
“I never went home before… Take care of me.. Hyunchae.. Sleep with me.”
Chaerin froze up, tensing up at the slightly slurred words.
That was exactly what used to happen.
Jiyong was one of her closest friends…And within the past couple while, she’d forgotten to what extent.
“Oppa…”
“Please. Please…” Jiyong’s words were muffled but she understood clearly. "Don't wanna sleep alone.."
Sighing, Chaerin nodded. One night wouldn’t hurt.
“Can you get up..?” Chaerin asked softly, resting her head against Jiyong’s shoulder and relaxing against his touch.
“Don’t wanna. You smell nice.” Chaerin laughed and blushed slightly.
“Yah, drunkie. We gotta keep this platonic.” Chaerin said as she ran her fingers through Jiyong’s tousled hair, amused.
“Don’t wanna..” Jiyong repeated, and Chaerin frowned.
Her eyes widened as Jiyong then started to kiss her neck, gripping onto her waist to keep her still. Chaerin froze altogether, before suddenly pushing almost wildly at Jiyong’s chest.
This wasn’t part of their usual routine. It never was. No kissing, just holding, just sweet words, just-
Chaerin couldn’t help but moan when Jiyong bit into her neck and then started sucking a mark onto it.
“S-Stop..” Chaerin mumbled softly, tilting her head a little because it was Jiyong and Jiyong was her safe haven and…
Tabi.
Jiyong was kissing up and along her jaw when Chaerin pulled away, roughly, trying to get to her feet and balance but ending up crashing onto the floor.
There was a moment of silence in which she was certain neither of them breathed.
Chaerin knew Jiyong. He never did anything like this, no matter how drunk he was…So what had happened?
“I’m sorry…I gotta… I gotta go.” Chaerin watched from where she was on the floor as the leader stumbled to his feet and swayed slightly. Getting back up to her feet as well, Chaerin opened her mouth to say something, anything, but nothing came out.
“I’ll…I’ll call..”
“Don’t bother.” Jiyong’s voice was hoarse as he shook his head, it seemed as if more to himself, and started - practically tripping over his own feet - back towards the door.
Chaerin followed behind the older boy, rubbing at her neck and chewing on her lower lip.
“Shouldn’t have come…” Jiyong was muttering to himself, and Chaerin felt a pang in her chest, unsure of what it was that was running along Jiyong’s mind.. But whatever it was, it seemed painful.
She watched as those hands that always held her close and wiped away her tears grasp onto the doorknob and turn it.
As soon as the door opened, though, all of her thoughts came flooding to a stop.
There stood Tabi, hand raised as if about to knock, looking confused.
“T-Tabi?” Chaerin breathed, at the same time Jiyong stated,
“Seunghyun.”
