Had an amazing light show 2 nights ago (although someone who lived under it would feel differently).
No rain where I was so I could stand on my patio and watch it.
I had heard what I thought were motorcycles outside. Then a flash dispelled that idea.
I looked out and saw a large nearly white cloud in the Southeast. I looked up and saw stars in the sky, looked west and still saw stars. looked east and watched the dark clouds move towards the amazing white/light blue one. A spectacular lighting show danced through the bright cloud.
tried to take picture with camera phone. no luck :(
need to get a _real_ camera...

re: oil spill
my idea for stopping the oil.
an umbrella that _looks_ like it's been blown upside down.
It's made of a flexible yet thick rubber with a large, hollow "handle".
They jam the umbrella inside the hole, start to open it up.
The gushing oil pushed against it, opening it up and resulting in the "canopy" being pushed against the inside of the pipe, blocking the hole.
The oil then has only 1 way out - up the hollow "handle"

There's a problem the oil leak causes that I'm not hearing about - the empty space [air pocket] left behind by the oil.
What's going to fill it?
Is the 'pocket' stable enough to not collapse?
How many empty spaces now exist in the earth's crust (or wherever those oil "lakes" form)?
If they collapse, would we know? Would they cause environmental problems? (like a minor earthquake that maybe triggers a larger one)

Or Am I worried about nothing?
yeah, you're right. probably nothing. :-}

Didn't catch most of NCIS's finale but not liking the fact that the final scene showed Gibbs Sr, aka Ralph Waite aka Pa Walton [The Waltons] aka Hank Booth [Bones], being put in jeopardy.

Caught the end of V, which seeems to be the end of V since Ryan and Joshua can ID most if not all the 5th column members.

Think I already covered Fringe -which was good - and Lost, which I loved. In 2nd place of recent best finales though was the shocking and amazingly well-done Grey's Anatomy.
