It is absolutely amazing to me that I live in this big place now. When I'm driving home from school or work I can actually SEE the Golden Gate Bridge rising up in front of me and every night I fall asleep listening to the water in the Bay. I can't believe I'm here.
I still work at The Body Shop but now its a cute little street store by the downtown Marina and I can fully appreciate finally being out of the mall. Zobelle was right after all. I was originally working at another location in the mall near SFSU but I had a little hissy fit because of one of my co-workers so I got to be transfered out of there. I really miss working with Chanelle, Nadia, and Merrissa but this is a nice change as well. I did get a $2 raise out of all of this, though.
I know that I told people that I would be back in two weeks and so not to worry if I didn't get a chance to say good-bye and I'm really sorry that I didn't follow through with my promise. My grandpa Maas died on August 9th and I was having a really hard time dealing with that loss and wasn't prepared to say bye to any of my friends. He led a really long and fulfilled life and I'm happy that he isn't in pain anymore but that doesn't change the fact that I am really going to miss him. I have always been really close to my father's parents and this was a really painful blow to me and the rest of my family. I really appreciated everyone who was there for me and put up with my flakiness around that time. Thank you, thank you.
I am coming back for the weekend on Friday the 23rd and then next month on the 22nd for my parents' 25th wedding anniversary.
I really miss you all and I'm always thinking about you.
