Update on Summer Fun
I haven't posted in a while so I thought I'd do the update thing. I am defintely here at the pool on this fine Thursday morning. Ben leaves at noon to pick up his sisters in Iowa. I'm a little sad to not be accompanying him, but I understand Erika will be emotional and doesn't want strangers around to see her in such a state.
I can either go for a run this morning at eight or this evening at ten. I haven't decided which yet. I'd like to get it out of the way, but I'd also like to take a nap. I suppose I could take an hour long nap then go running at nine. It shouldn't be too much hotter by then. The evening certainly cooled off. I woke up this morning shivering. Ben hadn't even stolen the covers, though, that's not somthing he normally does anyways. I could have decrease the fan speed, but I just got another blanket instead.
The internship is going well enough. I went to my first town council meeting. The first forty-five minutes the board discussed old news, which was painful. I was so frustrated. No wonder countries and different religions can't get along. When a group of nine people can't decide whether to lower the speed limit or add a few stop signs, how are two countries supposed to reach a decision about more important issues?
One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest is an interesting read. I'm a little upset because I've been slacking and now feel rushed. It won't be difficult to catch up and if I keep busy, the last three books should be quick reads.
Well, I should finish the chores on the morning checklist.
