A little while back I posted photos of a case that my Mom made me [green in color] and scrapped. Bee liked it so much that she ordered the case off me for her Mom's birthday and also wanted a scrapped frame to go inside the case. I finally finished them both this week and sent them to her. She got it and said she loved it. She's giving it to her Mom on Wednesday. Hope you don't mind me posting pics of it here Bee?
Here are the photo's of them...
All Bee let me know is that she wanted the case and a frame. Her Mom likes red and I had to put an "E" on the case somewhere. Otherwise everything else was left up to me.
This is the top of the case. The case I bought from Spotlight. It's just that normal chipboard color and then I painted it [with quite a few coats of red]. The base of the black flower I got off eBay. The sunflower I bought from Chickenfeed. The black swirls I painted on with a stencil. The stencil was from Lincraft.
This is a side view of the case. I tied lots and lots of different ribbons around the case handle. The ribbons I got from all over the place but mainly Big W.
Around the outside of the case I stuck felt ribbon. I bought it off eBay and I thought it was the pre-sticky Fozz Felt but it turned out to be the same thing but without the adhesive on it, which was a bugger. Meant I had to try and stick the felt on there by hand with glue. Really hard inbetween all that filgree stuff. Then on parts of the felt ribbon I stuck flower jewels in red and black.
This is the inside of the case. I stuck red felt all the way around, and then some more of that felt ribbon inside.
This is the inside of the top lid of the case. Again I covered it with red felt. I then stitched the black lace across it, painted the E and stuck it down and decorated with the flower.
This is the frame I did. It holds a 10x13 frame. I painted the outside in red and again with the black stencils, and then scrapbooked the inside. Bee gave me three photos of her Mom's house to work with. She didn't much text so I just did "HOME".
This is the scrapbooked inside of the frame. It's easier to see it here without the glass on it. I used random bits of paper, black card, metal flower photo corners, paper flowers, brads, stitched on buttons and lettering.
Here are both pieces standing together.
Luv Bali.
