So the other day Nadinne was going on about how annoying her Nan was being with asking to do simple things all the time. Well I've got two really annoying things at the moment, though I'm headed for Tassie in a few hours so it won't be too annoying for much longer.
First thing is that Nan is annoying me with all her bloody talk about fussing over how long it takes to get to places. "What time do you get back on Friday? I should leave at 7:40pm or 7:45pm and I'll take the back roads until I get to blah blah street, then go over the freeway and take blah blah road until I get to the roundabout and BLAH BLAH BLAH!" For crying out loud just get in the car and go. You'll get there when you get there. If you're late you're late and if you're early you're early. Deal with it. Do you have to put so much thought into when you leave, where you go, when you'll get there? And do you have to tell me coz I'm really not interested in having an hour in depth discussion about it!
The other annoyance is my uncle David and his partner Polly are staying here at Nan's for Xmas. They're currently living in Townsville in their caravan at a caravan park. Of course they don't have water restrictions up there and there's little room in the caravan, so they have a habit of cleaning up the dishes straight after you've done with them. Or you'll be almost at the end of a cup of tea and they'll want to take it away and clean it. Hang on! I'm still drinking that! So I've been over here about three days while they've been here and I swear the amount of washing dishes they do it nuts! I've told them that we're meant to be on water restrictions and it's 155 litres of water per PERSON per DAY and them washing so much would be far more than 155 but they just don't listen. It's actually irritating me A LOT! To save water, you're far better off waiting until the end of the day and washing all the dishes in one sink of water. Not after breakfast, after morning tea, after lunch, after afternoon tea, after dinner, after dessert and after every bloody cup of tea/coffee! It's just excessive!
Anyways I'm off to Tassie in an hour so I won't have to put up with that for much longer, although Tassie aren't on restrictions either, so we'll see how I go there.
Luv Bali.
