[01] What was something you memorized for school and still can recall?
I took film studies for two years and I can still look at a movie subjectively in regards to how exactly it's made and what it takes to produce one. I think everyone should do a year of film studies because it's really really interesting. I had the best teacher aswell. She was also my English teacher and leader of my Amnesty International group, so I knew her quite well. I can still reel off all the terms they use in film production.
[02] Did you take a foreign language in school and did you enjoy it?
At my high school it was compulsory to study a language. The choice was Japanese or French. My mom chose French for me. I actually really loved it but I wish I took it more seriously and remembered it all. I think I thought it was too easy for me and therefore wasn't all that interested. :( I'm sure if I studied it again then I could pick it up pretty quickly.
[03] With what groups of people did you associate?
I was pretty much an all rounder. I had good friends in about three particular groups but I associated with everyone from all years. I guess everyone thought I was an approachable person.
[04] In which sport/club/band (instrument) did you participate?
SPORT - I played netball for 9-10 years in competition. That was every Saturday morning and the occassional Sunday morning and some training after school aswell. We were always around middle to top of the ladder.
CLUB - I was a member of several Amnesty International action groups for about 4 years including school based ones, southern Tasmanian groups and inter-school groups. I loved knowing that I was a part of groups that all thought that people power would bring the world together for the better.
BAND - I was in various choirs for over 10 years. Music [whether choir or playing instruments] was my whole life as a kid/teen. My high school was a music based school and I loved it to death. We had choir almost every day, plus extra rehearsals after school and some weekends. Performances were almost every week as well.
[05] What were your school mascot and colors?
I don't think we had a mascot? Or at least I never remember one. School colors to represent the whole school was maroon. Then of course we had "houses" within the school and I was always Steane house which was yellow.
Luv Bali.
