Summer Splash!
Yes, it's 4:00pm and I just woke up. I needed sleep so bad.
Summer Splash was last night and I have to say, it was a pretty big success. It was sooo much more full when I got in there then I thought it would be. The artists we're alright, Gwen put on a great performance and the once song I saw of BSB was GREAT! So i'm sure their set was good. Everyone else...eh. But hey it's Top 40! Anyway, I was there from 10:30 to midnight. It was crazy but it was a lot of fun. Working the tents was a lot of fun. People are thrilled to get a t-shirt or a CD or anything for that matter! It was just...i don't know - really great to see so many people so happy to be there! Then when I got inside, I was taken aback by the people there. I really expected it to be like, half full. But it was really full so I was happy for Sara (my boss) who was also somewhat worried about that. I went up to sit with Katy, Bekah, Monika, Christina, Caitlin, and Ashley in the 400 section because I'd rather be with fun people then sit up close with the other intern. She's really nice...just doesnt have much to say. And I'm a talker. Plus - my friends were up there! The show went well, nothing went wrong or was out of place. It all went very smoothly. And again, it may be weird, but it was cool to see the show and know that the Y100 staff made all of it happen. And I know who most of the people are now, so I knew like who was doing what and such, and to know that I helped in making this shit happen - well that was just a great feeling too. I sound so fucking cheesy - but oh well people deal with it! Everyone stole Y100 banners and shit - so we had virtually nothing to clean up - it was great! We encourage the stealing of Y100 stuff whenever you come to a show - for future reference.
Got home at around 1.
Went to sleep at 3ish.
Slept til 4.
