Someone came into the vet's office with an emergency today. A dog had been hit by a car and while this isn't generally an emergency facility, we were the closest vet around and refusing treatment would have been a death sentence. I had to assist..something I have never done before, and we managed to save the dog. The thing is...we're not quite sure who the dog's owner is. He was brought in by the person that hit him but he doesn't have any identification and he looks a bit thin, like maybe he's a stray. Either way, he's healing well. He's got a broken leg and lost of scrapes and cuts, but he'll be fine. The car wasn't going very fast, thankfully. I sat with the dog while he woke up and he was really friendly, though maybe that was the drugs...
Is it wrong that I don't want him to have an owner so I can take him home myself? Not that I can afford a dog, but I love him, he's so sweet.
Visiting Kat has been good. It's nice to be in that house, and I've gotten to spend more time with Thomas, which is nice as well. Today I told Kat that I set up everything in the nursery already (yes I can use tools, try not to faint) and she squealed so loudly both Thomas and I had ringing ears for a good 20 minutes.
Also, we miss you, David. I hope you find what you're looking for.
