[Around noon there will be a familiar boy wandering around the village's streets. His clothes are ripped and damaged and he seems to have a few light wounds, nothing too serious though. He walks slowly, stumbling a bit and obviously with no idea of where he has to go or what to do. He looks all around him, confused and lost, totally disoriented ( Read more... )

Eh... Excuse me, what?

[No, really, what? And where are his parents, why aren't they answering yet?]

Snap, you know- [...No this is more mundane, and she hasn't seen him in a weekish? so.]

How's the boyfriend?

Eh... Who?

[You know, no kid likes to get lost and Keiichi is at a very sensible time of his life. Sensible as in that he's clinging to his parents like when he was five, so getting lost feels almost like when he was that age. And you're not helping.]

Sorry, I think you've got the wrong person. I'm Keiichi Maebara, I just moved here together with my parents but I got lost and I don't know anyone here yet... Or who your boyfriend is.

Eh, me? Sorry, but I'm not gay, you definitively got the wrong person.

[He doesn't even have a girlfriend after all.]

Yeah, my parents. Ichirou and Aiko Maebara, you won't happen to have seen them around, have you?

...You're serious, aren't you? If you're not this is so not funny, Maebara.

Of course I'm serious, what is there to joke about in this? Oh, wait you mean about you getting the wrong person? Well, that's serious too, I don't know you, I'm sorry. What's your friend's name? I could check if I see someone who may look like me?

[He's honestly sorry for this girl mistaking him, mostly because of how it must feel for her, so he wants to help. But how can he help anyway? All he manages is a lame attempt at it.]

[TWITCH. Her eyes narrow - he's serious. He's really... oh what sort of fucked up thing is this?]

My pal is Keiichi Maebara. He's a perverted loser who belongs to me, might as well be dating his "friend" Minato Arisato, he's from Hinamizawa and [insert his complete set of measurements here]

[... Just... What?? Forget helping her, why is she saying those things and what are those measurements?!!]

Eh... No. Sorry but no, I don't know any Minato Arisato and I have never before seen you, much less I belong to you. And I'm not from Hinamizawa, I don't even know where that is if it's somewhere. I'm from Tokyo.

I know everything- well no, but between me, Rena, and Minato I'm sure we know everything about you.

[Yeah... No.]

Eh... Maybe you're getting me mistaken with another Keiichi Maebara, it's not that a rare name. I sure as hell don't know you or any Minato or Rena. I told you, I just moved here from Tokyo, though if there's another Maebara family here maybe we weren't moving here after all and were passing by... Next time I should ask dad where are we going.

Yeah, whatever. And talking books are totally normal too.

Of course they are, it's how we communicate with people who aren't near us. I admit, though, when dad said that the village was pretty rural and different from Tokyo I thought people wouldn't have them. I guess that would have been too rural.

[Laughing.]
