.heart-levels system brief instructions.
- Each heart level accumulates up to 5 hearts, the more hearts the biggest the level in that heart color
- For heart levels Purple to Orange each time the character accumulates more than 5 hearts they'll automatically move to the next color, starting from 1 heart once more
- If a character is at Gray level accumulating more than 5 hearts will result in going to the Black level, to go to Purple the hearts at Gray stage must be less than 1.
- Red level is locked for family members, people who become family through whatever means (adoption, blood brotherhood, marriage, etc).

Rena is, without a doubt, Keiichi's first love and one of his most precious friends. Despite having known each other for a relatively short time, the fact that they have spent together basically everyday for that time helped to build up a good relationship pretty fast. The fact that sometimes it felt as if he knew her from years ago also helped, even if that impression often came with strange dreams or memories. Upon arriving to Luceti Keiichi has been faced with what he had been feared for a while already, those "dreams" weren't dreams but memories that somehow he had managed to retain through the endless loop of time that Hanyuu created to help Rika, even if he comes from a world in which that loop is broken, those memories haunt him, specially the ones regarding Rena. He has seen her literally at any possible situation and remembers them all, which puts him in a constant pressure when dealing with her, constantly afraid of triggering a bad reaction or hurt her and trying to remember what hasn't happened and what has between them. The fact that the present Rena isn't from his same loop or world doesn't help things as he's even more unsure as to what to mention around her. Still, no matter where they are or what loop of time they are from, for Keiichi, Rena is still the first girl he would do anything for and the one whose smile he wants to protect the most.

Keiichi's relationship with Haruki is an unstable one. Their first meeting was probably the compilation of worst things to happen on a first impression, Haruki getting a bad impression of Keiichi and Keiichi thinking that Haruki was some sort of pimp or even a slave trader. It wasn't until later, much later, that Keiichi realized that his idea of Haruki was totally wrong from a talk he had with Usagi. That, coupled with Rika and Hanyuu returning to their worlds in rapid succession, opened a new portal of communication between both boys and it would seem that since then they have managed to find a solid foot. Though they still don't see eye to eye on several things, Keiichi is slowly realizing that Haruki is a lot like him, with some traits more enforced that others, which is making him start to back off when they don't agree on something as he thinks that if he doesn't do it they won't reach anywhere with their discussion. Also, Haruki's position as the leader of the Brigade makes Keiichi even more willing to step down from his opinions and agree with him, as the words of the leader must not be contradicted, at least not too often. Recently, due a (long) conversation between them both, Keiichi has began to wonder about Haruki's parents and education, though he prefers to not think too much about it as it gives him creeps for some reason. Haruki's also the culprit of Keiichi starting to worry about his future and about his possible future wife and children.

Despite knowing him for not long ago, Hughes is quickly growing into Keiichi and is currently the only adult to whom he has no problems going to when he's troubled by something. There's just something in the man that makes him likeable and reliable, and Keiichi feels very comfortable talking with him. Hughes is a friend and an almost father figure to Keiichi already, always willing to talk with him and help him without stepping into his own space. In several ways, Hughes' approval is something Keiichi looks for quite often, be it in him training and learning how to fight properly in fear of getting drafted, or him keeping a secret with his crush or him thinking about what he looks forward to in his adult life. It helps that Hughes won't laugh at him or comment on finding strange anything Keiichi thinks or says, it makes Keiichi think that the man will accept him no matter what and that he can trust him.

Minato is one of the friends Rena has made during her time in Luceti and one of the few, besides Haruki, that is aware of the existence of the Hinamizawa Syndrome, though he didn't have a clear idea of what it was about when he contacted Keiichi for the first time. Despite having seen Rena at an advanced stage of the syndrome he's still willing to help her, in fact he wants to be able to help her, which means a lot to Keiichi and automatically puts him in his good list. Because of this Keiichi didn't hesitate in telling him as much as he could so he knew better about Rena's (and his own) condition, this was also influenced by the knowledge that Rika contacted Minato as well, even if she didn't tell him much, in her "no nipaa~ mode".

Rosa is a kind (and hot) woman who seems to be always comming to Keiichi's rescue whenever he has been in trouble. She brought him clothes and greeted him upon his arrival to Luceti, when the Malnosso were kind enough to put him in a female New Feather's outfit. She also healed him and got him safe and sound to the clinic after being kidnapped by the Malnosso, while Keiichi hasn't had much of a chance to give her anything in return. It annoys him a bit, because as much as he loves to be rescued by a pretty blonde (despite her being married), it makes him feel a bit useless as he wants to be able to help her as well. At any rate Rosa is a very nice woman with whom Keiichi enjoys talking and even teasing a bit.

Berknastel is a rare existence for Keiichi. She looks like Rika but isn't Rika, or so she says, Keiichi can't yet shake the feeling of familiarity around her and that she reminds him of the serious Rika he has seen in glimpses doesn't help. At any rate Keiichi does his best to be polite and civil with her, while trying to not think much of her appareance and of Rika. She claims to be a witch that travels through the "kakeras" and "fragments", which in Keiichi's book means she travels through worlds that are similar yet different, pretty much like what the situation at Hinamizawa seems to have been from what he was told. She also claimed to be the "Witch of Miracles", and contrary to what many could think those two bits of information don't put her in a good light for Keiichi. He doesn't dislike her or antagonize her, in fact he is even curious about her, wanting to learn more. But everything she can say and do will be taken with a grain of salt on Keiichi's part and with a clouded and limited amount of trust.

Keiichi knows barely anything about English names, so Grell didn't sound neither female nor male to him when the redhaired lady he was talking to about lost chainsaws introduced it as her name. It was at a later date thought, that Keiichi got to meet Grell in person and see that, certainly, that wasn't a lady like he had been lead to think by the way Grell talked. Gender issues (to which Keiichi pays no mind to be honest) and chainsaw love aside, Grell has been nothing but nice and polite with Keiichi. An enjoyable partner to chat around and who has a good sense of style on top of that.
