...Who Dat? It's Me...!

I don't know who reads my LiveJournal anymore, but here I am. I figured it was time.

Yep, I am moving to Chicago. A lot of you have asked the reasoning behind the decision, and...there is no one explaination. This is just what's best for me at this point of time. I am not happy with this location. Muskegon's economy is nothing to be proud of. The job has platued in its progression, leaving me stressed and bitter. Activities for individuals of our generation are limited, and what is available often grows tedious after so many times. Job opportunities are also limited--especially in my choice of career. I have failed to find anyone to be involved with in the romantic sense. Friends seem to be moving on, and I am in limbo between growing up and keeping young. With all of this, I am only to gain in Chicago. There's a large amount of places that are hiring--with better pay! I won't be needing a vehicle that would only drain money out of my pocket. More people, better chances to improve this solo status. The social activities are much more varied. I can finally declare true independence. I will be living with two great individuals. The list goes on and on, and I am not joking.

There are those who question, naturally. Do I have a job? Not yet. I've already got interviews lining up, more or less, and from there I can choose where I would prefer. Can I afford it at this point of time? Not entirely, but one of people I am to live with is taking care of things while I make payments to eliminate any debt(s). Am I nervous/excited/apprehensive? Of course. More excited, some nervous, and not much apprehension. I feel this is the right thing to do. How long do I plan to be in Chicago? I signed a year lease, so at least that amount of time. After that, it's up in the air. Where in Chicago? About 7 minutes from downtown on the northside. What is the apartment like? Beautiful in vintage, wood floors, large living space, small bedrooms, etc. Come see for yourself. Am I to continue college? I plan on gaining residency (6 months) to avoid out-of-state costs. After that, I want to take those three last classes to get my Associate's and go on from there. How often will I come back to Muskegon to visit? As often as I can without killing myself financially. This is nothing resembling a 'goodbye'. In fact, I will be coming back around October 20th to celebrate my 21st B-day (which is originally on the 16th). I still want to see everyone and hang out. I love my friends because you are my family. Don't forget that.

Moving on, I got my hairs cut. :o) 5-6 inches off, baby. I love it.

Alright, back to subject. We're getting prepared to pack and repair the house. It's going to be a lot of work. Next week will mostly be spent at the house. If anyone is interested in helping out, let me know! Any extra hands will be extremely helpful. In fact, I am thinking about designated a day which all those wanting to participate can come and join us. This will include some packing (dishes, glasses, kitchen stuff, etc.), painting (scratches along the walls, rips, dents, etc.), calking, removing screws and nails from walls, cleaning the carpet, scrubbing down the bathroom and kitchen, etc.... As you can see, it's a lot, and the more help, the better. Afterwards, we'll have pizza or something. :o) It's up to you--just don't feel obligated.

It's reaching 1:30am. Time for bed? I think so. Much more to share, but too tired to care. Thanks & g'night!
