it's another perfect day, until...
well it seems that it has been a while since i updated this thing...
and today is an appropriate time to do so because I'm in an inexplicable good mood. So a quick synopsis of my life the last few weeks in list form:
- took the mcat
- it's best not to ask how i did
- working on housing for this summer
- was told by our premed advisor that i wasnt getting into med school right after college
- have been contemplating a few year-off options
- i've forgotten how to do homework
- i have tests next week, so I should work on that
- i didn't realize until tonight how i have let some friendships fade in the last month, so I'm working on that for the next month
- john paul took me to the most AMAZING thrift store this week... you pay by the pound... mind-blowing
- not as fun because we are basically the same size right now and i had to fight him for clothes
- which reminds me that i need to get my ass in shape
- dinner tonight ala jill did not help, BUT it was fan-fucking-tastic
- i got to see an open heart surgery yesterday
- i almost passed out, but luckily avoided that
- however, i did get to see a beating heart... i'm not ever going to be a cardiac surgeon
- i fell in love with the anethesiologist. who cares that he's married and an auburn fan?
- i got my poli sci paper back today... a- because it was too long, but it was DAMN good
- i skipped my math class for the second day in a row
- orthopedic clinical today: life-changing
- i'm going to be an orthopedic surgeon. end of story.
- these were by far my favourite residents in the hospital
- and they're hooking me up with cool surgeries to watch next week
- i'm thrilled
- i got into all the classes i wanted for next term
- we got basically the apartment i wanted for next year
- maybe i should capitalize on this new luck thing
- bought a spectacular orange dress today for dance tonight
- dance blew, company was great, many compliments for my cheap dress
- brilliant day, sleepy girl.
my life is moving rapidly these days. i have alot to talk about, figure out. But i'm not sure if I'm ready to think about any of it right now. Especially since I seem to be the queen of avoiding issues these days.
