Responsibilities
Beecher was half under the bed when the shiny, black boots stopped inches from his face. He frowned at his reflection. He’d polished them until they’d gleamed, just last night. One of many tasks Schillinger expected of him on a daily basis.
“What the fuck are you doing down there, Bitcher?”
He held up the half-empty tube. “I dropped it last night, sir.” Something else on his list - he’s always responsible for the lube.
“Well, while you’re down there,” he heard the ratcheting of Schillinger's zipper, “might as well make yourself useful.”
He sighed. A prag’s work is never done.
