It's really difficult to try and write differently than you already do. If you're just learning how, you can probably train yourself to change some things - that's why it's called the learning process. And no one is too old to learn. The one thing that helped me the most was finding a really good beta. A beta that is willing to say if something isn't working, and will offer suggestions, or help you work it until it does. I've been really lucky that way.

Have you written any drabbles? That's how I started out. Drabbles are not easy if they're done well, but since they are such a contained package (100 words is not much!) they're really good for helping you learn to focus on the main ideas and the important stuff.

And posting my drabbles on hardtime100 got me feedback, which started conversations which earned me a beta in the end. Not sure it will work that way for you, but it's worth a chance. Also, when you have something for them to look at, you can probably advertise on an Oz journal and ask for a beta. But you need someone who's able to sort out the good from the bad, and help you focus on what works from your style.

Sorry, that sounds like I'm lecturing you! I didn't mean to...I just hate to hear that you're comparing yourself to me because you said it yourself: only one person can write like they do. I really hope you have luck discovering a style that works for you. Good luck.

Oh no you don't, the only thing you is giving me some really good ideas =) And as the far as the Kenny-Icon goes....NOTHING......I was out earlier today so, sorry if this doesn't make much sence but i'm rtying right? My computer is going to be kind of born all over again, so I can get a few icons....wouldn't be wrong.
