I was in the store the other day and the cashier said, "Happy New Year!". I looked at her and said that I don't celebrate the "New Year" on January 1st, that I follow the Chinese Calendar instead. She looked at me and just said, "UMMM... I'm Sorry". Afterwards I told her I was just joking, and this might seem a little ridiculous... but, people make a big deal about saying "Merry Christmas", so I thought I would just make a big deal about saying "Happy New Year".
So, Pam and I ran into some friends that we haven't seen inawhile. It's amazing who you will see at Borders...
I am seriously looking into getting my Master's Degree, I am requesting some info from a couple of Schools & see what I need to do. I have been wanting to get my Master's, but I just haven't been sure in what area. I was originally looking at getting a MSW (Master's in Social Work), but now I'm leaning towards getting my Master's in Theology. I figure that since I am a pastor now (still sounds weird) and I plan on serving God in full time ministry for the rest of my life, that further education in Theology would be the smart thing to do...
I still ,however, want to continue to develop my graphic and web design skills. I have looked at a few colleges that are local and am trying to figure out if I can attend a few classes that will help me develop in this area. There are some awesome graphic design schools in the NYC, but with working a full time job and doing a full time ministry, I'm just not sure if it is something that I can do at the moment.
Everything is a matter of prayer, I see God working in my life in many ways, and it is just awesome! I'm also excited about the New Year because it just always seems to bring a "Fresh Start" to things...
