Having some thoughts, not totally formed, on a concept you hear about but isn’t that well defined. Excused how rambling and inconclusive I’m being because of it

I've heard a lot of women say that about David Bowie in Labyrinth, actually. Can't say I relate to that specific experience, although as an adult I always found him attractive in a transgressive sort of way, and I miss the world without him in it.

I dunno. I feel like sexuality is something that crept up on me, too, and is an outfit I can't always comfortably wear.

I honestly wonder a lot about this, writing the main character of Lioness, because she strikes me as the sort of person who would have been able to articulate their sexuality at an early age. There's a passage I wrote, where she's thinking back on a crush she had when she was seventeen or so, and saying something like, "as soon as she saw him, she knew she wanted him." And I struggle with knowing if that's realistic or not, because it's not a thought I would be able to entertain at that age. Even today, I generally don't have a lust-at-first sight "unf" about people.

I will say when I first saw Scott Lynch, I had that reaction to him ;) But that is a rare example.
