[ There's something she recognizes from the start of the dream - perhaps from that last nightmare event, but the thought passes her mind so quickly that it doesn't even really register. Instead she watches the rest happen, through her eyes but she's fairly sure it's not her eyes. And that feeling is only confirmed the moment she suddenly seperates from the eyes, suddenly independant. ... And yet there's a feeling that she's been here this whole time.

... Strange.

But she notices the kid next to her, and she doesn't have to think much to figure out who it is. And while it's a little awkward to suddenly be left here with him like this.. ... Well, there is something adorable about it. Even if he's a green mutt thing. ]

Med'an..? [ Her tone sounds a little unsure. ]

[ WELL SHE'S NOT SO SURE IF THIS IS OKAY since Med'an is babby and she's not sure what's going on, but.. well, maybe she can just go with it for now. She remembers the name from one of Med'an's many tales after all, so.. ]

I can tell you don't believe me. [HE'S JUST SAYIN'. But he doesn't seem bothered by it. It seems like he knows he's right.]

Meryl's a good person. He won't let anything happen to us.

[ ... It feels a little weird to say that. It almost feels a bit weird to suddenly try and recover her own memories after all that.

She shakes her head lightly to herself. ] You like him a lot, don't you?

[He leans his little head against her as the older man returns, with a glass of juice for each of them.]

[ A glass of juice, huh.. It feels rather weird to suddenly be this comfortable in a setting she doesn't know at all, but she tries to give the little Med'an a small smile regardless. ]

If you say so, I'll believe you this once. [ She slowly - and perhaps still a bit awkwardly - puts an arm around him. ]

[The babby snuggles a little closer as Meryl sits on the edge of the bed, still smiling gently, and asks them if they want to keep the light with them. They also both get pats on the head. Ange is probably too old for that, but you get the sense that no one is too old when they're around Meryl, who must be about a million.]

[ Yes, Ange gets that feeling too, and yet.. It feels somewhat awkward. Some little cynical part of her refuses to give up the thought that this is very, very awkward. Her eyes nervously dart from the small Med'an to Meryl for a moment. ]

[Bitty'dan looks up at her, amused.]

We'll keep it. Thanks, Meryl. We'll be okay now.

[There's a little more babying before the man leaves. The boy picks up his stuffed animal (a rabbit) and pulls the blankets up so that both of them are better covered. He seems to be taking care of her, even though he's even smaller than he usually is.]

[ NO THE BABYING IS THE AWKWARD PART.. but somehow there's something so happy about the way this younger Med'an is looking and acting that she can't help but just let him do what he wants. ... The stuffed rabbit doesn't come as a surprise to her at all, though.

She's quiet for a few moments, seeming to think about everything. ]

... Hey-- .. Med'an, you're happy, right?

'Course I am. We're safe and Meryl is with us.

[Why wouldn't he be happy? He has his zombiedad. It's obvious how much Meryl means to him.]

[ Well.. She can understand that feeling. Her parents meant the world to her too, after all, along with her older brother. So she tries to throw some off the cynism off her and smiles a little instead. ]

[ TRICK QUESTION. Or at the very least it seems to somewhat catch Ange off guard, as her eyes widen a little in surprise. And she hesitates for a moment, because even she isn't sure of the exact answer to that question. So there's a slight pause. ]

... I'm-- .. Yeah, I'm okay.

[He continues to look up at her face for a moment, as if deciding whether or not she's actually okay or is just pretending to be okay. Apparently he decides she is actually okay, because he rests his head against her again, snuggles up with the blankets and the stuffed bunny, and closes his eyes.]

That's good. I want you to be happy too.
