GONE WILD - Updates & Current Projects
At the moment GONE WILD are taking a break between albums (yes a 3rd installment has been mooted...more on that below...), band members Rob Smith, Richard Anderson & Chris Szkup are involved with several different projects that are currently in the works....
Rob Smith & Nils-Ole Finbak - Atmosphere's II
After spending some time tending to a more laid-back form of music, it was decided after the successful pairing of Rob Smith & Nils-Ole Finbak for the "Atmosphere's" album released earlier this year, that a second album would be a fulfilling project to come next. So with that we are more than happy to announce that "Atmosphere's II" is currently in the pipeline. Tunes for this particular album will be worked on between other sessions so not set timeframe has been set down. Once again Richard Anderson will be contributing to the lyrical department for some of the songs on this album.
Steve Hacker & Rob Smith - Inspirations
Steve Hacker & Rob Smith are pleased to announce that work has begun on their collaborative album "Inspirations", which see's the pair teaming up with Richard Anderson to write some of the material for this album.
The Feckers - Greatest Hits 69
Chris Szkup (solo artist/GONE WILD) & Richard Anderson (GONE WILD) are busy at the moment writing and recording songs for their collaborative project, The Feckers, which see's the lads teaming up with various friends the world over, including Rob Smith (solo artist/GONE WILD), Roy Bratbakken (solo artist/Steroyd), Irene Foster, Joakim Finbak Pedersen...with other contributors to be confirmed. Currently the main production is being handled by Chris Szkup & Ren Reich @ Reich Records, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia - with contributions from all the musicians and vocalists from various points of the globe.
Chris Szkup - 2nd Solo Album (Yet to be titled)
Chris Szkup is currently working on the follow-up album to his 2009 release "Pieces Of Eternity" (which you can find out more and order from: http://www.cs-songs.com ) - word is that Rob Smith & Richard Anderson will contribute to this project with some backing vocals.
Rob Smith - A Mind's Journey Through Life
Tracks for this particular Rob Smith solo album were written in 2007, now he has begun work on recording this project, which he describes as "a dreamy concept type thing", all music and lyrics by Rob Smith for what is a most looked forward to solo endeavour, one of the few in the pipeline. A 2010 release for this album is highly likely.
Rob Smith - No Smoking
Rob Smith has planned on working on this project for a while now, this will be a double album made up of songs dating back over the last 30 years as well as some new material written especially for this format.
Carol Smith - Tranquility
Rob Smith is still producing his wife Carol Smith's debut album "Tranquility", which will feature all songs written and recorded specifically for Carol, except with the addition of an updated version of The Candles track "Used To Be". Whilst this album has been in the working stages for a while now, no specfic release timeframe is currently in place, although it is hoped that more songs will be completed in the coming months.
Other Collaborations:
Richard Anderson also has material he has co-written with people from various points of the globe in the works - some of them are one-off tune's and others may lead to fully-fledged album projects.
Session Work:
Both Rob Smith & Chris Szkup have various sessions scheduled over the coming year or so, which will see them teaming up with some interesting folks that they haven't worked with in the past.
Former Band Members:
Nils-Ole Finbak continues to work on his solo material, being quite prolific, he now has his material up on itunes, but for more info simply direct yourself to:

- Nilsy has once again offered to come onboard as a guest in the future, which we may take him up on that kind offer depending on what the future holds.
Matt Sturgess has a solo-ish album that has been mooted for sometime now, we look forward to hearing that come to life, once again no scheduled release has been mooted.
GONE WILD III ???? (This Is Not The Full Title)
Whilst still only in the mooted department - a 3rd GONE WILD album is a possibility, however a line-up change has necessitated, both Rob Smith & Chris Szkup likely to be handling bass and guitar duties where required. There is no set-down timeframe for this particular endeavour should it in fact occur. We would like to thank those who have stuck by us in the last 3 years and hope that the future continues to bring much joy and inspiration.
