I challenged myself to watch more than 100 movies this year. It's a variation of the "365 movies in 365 days" I saw on tumblr, I don't think I can commit to that many~ I don't have much free time and the little that I have I'm not going to spend it all in just that =/
So, it's 100-maybe more. But the my main goal is 100. I already watched some this year and I wanted to leave what a thought of it and stuff...
1.- Atonement (2007)
8/10
I been wanting to see this film since 08' when the award season started and this movie was pretty much nominated to everything but somehow didn't watch it until January of this year.
Okay. The MOVIE: (just in case, this is NOT a recap I'm just ranting what I thought of it.)
Joe Wright it's maybe one of the best directors for adapted screenplays. So knowing that you alredy get the idea that this film it's gonna mark you. It is based on the book of the same name, and tells the story of Cecilia(Keira) and Robbie(James) mainly from the POV's of Cecilia's little sister Briony(Saoirse Ronan).
I gave it an 8.5, because it made me sad. (YES THAT'S WHY). It's an UNBELIEVABLE film, beautiful written, directed and acted...the girl who play's Briony, Saoirse Ronan....wow. I knew her from the lovely bones movie, and she was terrific but in here, it's amazing how she was only 13 years old. Her character wasn't the easiest, since she is the main reason why the love story between Robbie and Cecilia failed.
Keira and James were so good. The chemistry was pure fire, and Keira was superb!
I loved the film I did....but it's so sad.
