[There's a long sigh on the other end of the line, like one about to dive from a cliff to a pool of cool water below. The voice is much too mellow to be Rider's, and yet...]
"Is it so bad to want a normal life Miss Rider? I know we've already spoken a little on this, but, if you need someone to talk to I can come over in a bit."
I'm not really supposed to want a normal life. On the isle, I put my sisters' wants before my own and I was happy. In Fuyuki, I put Sakura's wants before my own and I was happy.
When I think of my own wants it gets a bit muddled.
If you don't mind coming by a bit later, it would be wonderful.
I've thought that myself, but it seems oddly elaborate. I'm morbidly interested in meeting the person who dreamed this place up. They must be either sadistic or quite mad.
"Well, its fairly well known that Lucy Smith when not in creepy drone mode is the administrator of this town. As for busy, it beats sitting around waiting for terrible things to happen."
My issue is that if she is the cause of this, then who drones her? One person couldn’t do all of this. And you have a point. I pass the time with books and walks. My interactions here are few and far between, but terribly necessary.
"I think she drones herself to keep up appearances. From what I've been told she doesn't have the best grasp on sanity and perhaps things start to go badly when she comes out of it. Much like a degrading computer program."
"As for the books, I wish I could get some useful ones here, but they're all on gardening and cooking... Or cheap romances. Nothing on physics or calculus."
Oh...that does make quite a bit of sense. With the ability to drone herself, it would take suspicion off of her. It's like hiding in plain sight.
I've noticed that the books here change based upon your gender. I go into the library and I find feminine books and romance novels. But when Adachi goes in, he finds all sorts of useful things. He brings them back for me to read now and then. I can have him get a few for you if you'd like.

It’s just...not my style to be so open.
I’m afraid it threw me off kilter.
