Partial Update
So, Cinco de Mayo is on for sure. My sister is coming (she actually *wants* to) which shocked the hell out of me. But if she's going to move here it's probably a good idea that she gets a feel for the place.
Jen loves me so much.. she's slamming people at work just to make her goal and be able to get the time off to come for the weekend. That just gives me a warm and fuzzy.
My Dad's doing really well. He loves his job and the crew he's running all seem like really nice guys. Adam still refuses to take a job with them, but my dad's not exactly giving up on the idea either.
Work is really great. More stress then I expected, but we are dealing with a truly different dynamic, so I guess it's to be expected. Apparently I'm not doing too bad though, I was offered a position in the same department I'm in now.. sort of a partial step up. My job now consists of office work mostly and dealing with the participants only part of the time, like a 70/30 divide. But with the new position it'll be flipped, and I'll be advocating most of the time, and in the office only when coverage is low. I'm learning alot about domestic violence and how it effects women from all walks of life, and I feel like what I'm doing is.. in some small way.. doing my part to stop the cycle. Which also gives me warm and fuzzy's!
