My Current Personal Oscar Ballot Picspam

Notes: This is a fairly weak category right now too but I honestly wouldn’t mind if Levitt ended up my #1 this year. Oddly, this should eventually be a pretty great year for Best Actor with Clooney, Firth and Bridges in a good three-way race. There’s also Morgan Freeman and possibly Daniel Day-Lewis in the mix. Right now, I'm giving my win to ( Read more... )

They probably won't be in the actual Oscars.. Weinstein will have to campaign hard to get Basterds nominated for BP and Star Trek will just a tech presence.

I love Tarantino very much, but if the female directors are deserving (I can't say, I haven't seen any of their films [well... most; sometimes it sucks to be an Australian ;)]) - I think it's about time a woman wins Best Director.

I would love for Jeremy Renner to be nominated - he's fantastic & again, I've not seen Precious, but apparently Monique is brilliant. I would be very upset with the Best Actress & Actor noms if they looked anything like that...but then, I never think the right people win/are nominated.

I'd say Bigelow has the best chance of winning actually when the Oscars come. Tarantino is just my personal win but he'll probably have a hard time getting nominated even. I didn't love The Hurt Locker as much as some other people though. If I had to pick one of the ladies, I'd probably go for Jane Campion.

The Actor category is pretty weak right now cause the three major frontrunners haven't been released yet (Clooney in Up in the Air, Bridges in Crazy Heart, Firth in A Single Man). But the three-way Actress race between Streep, Mulligan and Sidibe is probably happening.
