Birthday Part 1

May 04, 2005 16:30

Thank you to everyone for the Birthday wishes, I really appreciate them. Last night we decided to kick off the birthday celebration by watching 'Meet Me In St. Louis' and 'Sabrina' with Bridger, Dorothee, and Naomi. In between Naomi and I went on a chocolate break and also bought a little bit of alcohol. A few minutes before my birthday I opened the alcohol and spilled it on myself. (typical) Then sweetly my housemates turned off all the lights and brought me in a cupcake with candles saying 21. I blew them out and was also presented with a card. It was really sweet. Then today was my last day at the Austen Centre. I was working on renewing magazine subscriptions. Bridget came, but I missed giving her a talk. Then Chris came and I did a talk for him and about 7 other people. It went well except for a crazy man standing up in the middle, asking me a question, and then leaving. We all laughed though. Chris and I then went upstaird for tea, which was very nice. Then I went downstairs and they gave me a card and a present of a 1928, school copy reprint of Jane Austen's 'Northanger Abbey'/'Persuasion' it is really lovely. I also brought in a lovely cake. I will miss everyone there, but I will go and visit again, before I leave. So far, it is has been a very nice birthday. I am only nervous about room draw, but I know Jennie will do the best for me. Tomorrow expect part two of my birthday as I talk about dinner tonight and the Huntsman.
