Howard Dean

Highlights of Howard Dean on Hardball last night:

The "abortion, guns, God and gays" comment. He has the Republican Southern race strategy down.

Admitting he did not want to be drafted. This is not going to be a campaign issue - because then they would have to talk about Bush during the Vietnam war. In addition, I don't think this will lose him any votes that he would have a chance at anyway.

Foreign policy - not only does he have the same amount of experience that dozens of presidents had before they were elected, but he pointed out the foreign policy decisions Kerry, Edwards, and Lieberman have been making lately - is that the kind we want.

Praising Colin Powell.

His sealed records. This is another one that would be a non-issue in the general election - because then Bush would have to open his.

The kid from Kirkland house whining - gee... I feel really sorry for a privileged Harvard student who doesn't get to talk one on one with every presidential candidate - really my heart goes out to you. Really.

Dean supports local radio stations. Close to my heart.

Notably missing: Trade, Health Care, Education.

A friend, Johnny Two Cents, went to the event, hopefully he'll have a review later today.
