Crazy man

So, today I'm at work and I see a guy looking at our overstock aisle. He's looking at a usb flash drive and looks puzzled so I figure I should probably ask him if he needs help. I do such and to my surprise he tells me a story that took about 20 minutes for him to tell me but I'm going to condense it down and hit the main points but here goes:

A couple years ago, the guy lived in florida and he and his wife both got cell phones through Verizon. They got a basic package because they had no use or even knowledge of text messaging or pic messaging but one day his wife's cell phone kept getting all of these text messages and from there he would also get them in his email and they would also be sent to his fax machine. He said he called Verizon and they basically told him that he was crazy (I was thinking about the same thing honestly) but needless to say he went on with his story and it gets MUCH better. He said that he then moved to Alabama and switched phones and phone numbers. After a couple weeks, the stuff started back up. He asked his wife if she had done anything with email and she told him that she didn't even know how to use email. He went on his computer and started "poking around" until he found emails to and from her and random addresses he didn't recognize. He said he then called Verizon again every day for the next 2 weeks until he got an answer he could live with. (I'm thinking "why are you calling Verizon about this?")The person tells him that they can't tell him where it is, but that he has spyware. (I think that given other trouble he explained to me was happening to his computer, that spyware is a reasonable assessment as well). The next statement out of his mouth was "And that's when I started hearing the noises in the attic" (My thoughts, omg, he thinks spyware means someone is physically spying on him in his house and he is paranoid)He the gets detailed with other events that had been happening in his house. He said that his TiVo would randomly come on and go off by itself and that he saw 4 lines going up into the attic that he didn't know were there and didn't think they were supposed to be there. He also said that he would get telephone calls from out of area and 1-800 numbers which he would try to call back and it would tell him the lines were disconnected (50:1 says that's just telemarketers). He said he drove back from Alabama today because he had to change his phone out there and when he got home in town he found a note in the trash saying where he had been and what he had done but he had not told anyone either of those bits of information. He also said that at one point he saw his wife with headphones on that went into the floor but when he confronted her about it, she denied it. He said the card in her phone kept erasing and adding pictures randomly.

The events after the story:
I got a couple of our Wireless guys to check out the phone and they found nothing wrong with it and no pictures stored on the phone and nothing wrong with the card. Everytime we had a question that concerned his wife, he went outside to ask her because she was sitting in his truck the whole time. Our question: Why couldn't she come in? Her excuse was that she wanted to listen to the radio.
After he left, we all shared our thoughts. We all pretty much realized that his wife is doing something to screw with that guy's mind. I don't know if she's cheating on him or doing something hideously illegal, but she's up to something. None of us were brave enough to tell him our thoughts about his wife since he portrayed her as being the best thing that happened to him and also as 100% innocent. Either way, the guy spent almost an hour in the store and left us in pure awe as how blind he could be. So, that was our excitement of the night.
