Battles are simple. Don't target the trainer in battle; once the pokemon's fainted, it's battle over. Items can be used if you need/have them. If you lose, you cough up money to the winner.

Otherwise, anything goes. [And Silver is not as desperate to win, so he won't 'cheat'.]

She hatched in late July, and I try to train her at least once every few days.

Then she should be about level 16 - 20 with a level a week gain. Higher if it's more than that.
