It has been an absolutely amazing weekend. Friday night was the day of skipping class to get to Green Bay in time to get my tux, eat KFC, and go to the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner, which was SOOO much fun and SOOOO delicious. I could tell at the rehearsal I was going to have a difficult time not crying on Saturday once my sister came out from the trees and down the aisle. Friday night our house was grand central station of all phone calls. Nicole couldn't sleep and then Saturday morning (which felt like Friday night) everyone was calling with random input.
Then Chris, Paul, and Lush picked me up to go to Chris' parent's house. We had some lunch and headed to the chapel. When we got to the chapel there was a lot of sitting around and some taking of pictures. Then the ceremony started and Chris headed outside. This allowed for my sister to come downstairs from the girls' dressing area and I mildly started to cry because she looked amazing in her dress.
I calmed down as she left to go to the path in the woodsy area and walked down the aisle, but then when she came out from the woods I started crying again because it was just such a beautiful sight and such an exciting moment. Yes, I felt like a little girl. I guess she saw me crying and made her cry even more. After the ceremony, I tried to hug her and tell her she was gorgeous, but i just sobbed and Cher laughed at me. We had pictures after the ceremony and then left in the big Excursion Limo... H O T .
We stopped in Voyager Park and had some pictures by the river which was fun. Then we headed to two bars. I got water at The Abbey since I already had two drinks in the limo, but got a drink at the Keweenaw and didn't get carded which was hot.
The reception was also perfect. I had about four or five more drinks and a shot at the reception, but then stopped because I didn't want to feel like crap that night or the next day because I was just having to good of a time. Tara and I definitely swept up the dance floor with our swing, cha-cha, tango, foxtrot, and late-coming waltz. The cake looked delicious. The cake WAS delicious and we stole about 11 pieces and brought it to our room. I ran to my Grandma's with Paula to get some food which was amazing and so was the Chocolate and Butter Bars and we had a mini after party in our room... 204... Which wasn't far from 207 where there were chicks in the hottub... or rather, chicken... and aunty was out smoking in the hallway. Maier got hit on a lot by the 207 Milwaukee's Best drinkers and then Case and Maier got some free Milwaukee's Best and left it in the room when they left and Magster slept with Tara... a complete stranger to her. Hahahahahaha... SO many good times were had this weekend that I can't even type them all out. My sister was beautiful and my five rolls of film don't do the evening justice. It was perfect in every way and I'm soooooOOOOOo happy and relieved that it went so well for my sister and Chris.
Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Kane!!!
