PERSONALITY At his core Korea is proud, traditionalist, and kind of a brat. He's extremely insecure and wants to be acknowledged as the awesome country he so clearly is, but since he takes the view that any attention is good attention, he tends to come across as an asshole. Like many of his people, he's obsessed with bettering himself through education; he's constantly studying and has aced every one of the bazillion exams his government's offered over the centuries. With people who have earned his respect, he's formal and tends to use very archaic Korean, but with everyone else he's deliberately casual to the point of rudeness. He prefers old-fashioned things despite his fondness for shiny technology and catchy pop songs, is patriotic to a fault, constantly worries that his people will forget where they came from, and wears traditional hanbok instead of Western clothes because really, someone ought to.
