Well. After the excitement in the pumpkin patch yesterday, I'm sure everyone is quite in the mood for celebration, this weekend. I must confess, though, just before midnight I doubled back and found a perfect carving pumpkin before the patch vanished. I'm rather pleased with the results.

No, no, they're amazing fish. They withstand enormous amounts of pressure and live very deep in the ocean, where there's no light. The light which grows through their head is a lure; it draws kelp and smaller fish. They eat like whales, swallowing water and straining the water back through their teeth.
