[Laurel's going to retrieve a couple different chocolate bars and his transfiguration textbook before heading down to the common room]

[She's already down there, sitting on a table and swinging her legs back and forth in a pair of too-big boy's jeans and a t-shirt. Soul grins when he sees the other delinquent, hopping off in one swing from the table.]

You're a lifesaver. You know this, right?

[Laurel shrugged with a bit of a smirk] Yeah, I'm pretty awesome. [he holds out the three bars; one's dark, one's milk, and one has almonds] Wasn't sure what you were wanting, so I brought a couple.

For future reference I like anything except dark and fruity. [She grins back, taking the milk and almond ones.]

Noted. [moves to open the dark one, tossing his book on the table]

[and she's opening the milk one as she reclaims her seat on said table]

Studying for OWLs, huh?

You're not? [he's plopping down at the table, flipping open the book to a random page]

Nah. Not my thing. I'll cram at the last minute or get Mako to help me study. [She waves a nonchalant hand as she bites into that chocolate bar, an instant look of bliss appearing on her face.] Oh man, I needed this.

[he snorts at that, but there's a smirk of amusement there.] Why you're willing to put up with his bitching while studying I'll never get it.

[he arches an eyebrow at her appreciation though] Yeah, I can tell.
