Geekiness, Happiness, Crankiness
On this lovely Friday night in Miami, I, a college student, am being a geek - and school hasn't started yet! Ok, so maybe geek isn't the right word...nerd? dork? loser? You be the judge: I'm sort of cleaning my room. More like organizing. Getting rid of crap I no longer need, putting stuff away, getting school stuff out and the like. I'm a geek/nerd/dork/loser by choice as I could have seen a movie with Corey & Co. or gone to some politics thing (now that would have been geeky, but cool anyway). I figure I need some time to chill as I've gone out the last two nights and am going out again tomorrow night.
Yesterday was the last day of my internship. Overall, I'm not sure it was worth it. I wasted gas driving up to Ft. Lauderdale twice a week for two months to do bitch work. Yesterday when I was saying bye to Katie 2, she asked if she needed to print samples of work out. I was confused as to what she would print out - lists of contact info for various people/locations I've compiled? Copies of shipment labels? Ok....But I did learn the basic idea of how movie studios promote their movies in individual markets compared with the national market. I've gotten to see free movies (good & bad - see Min & Vanessa's posts about yesterday's flick), will continue to see free movies, have a shitload of posters, and have something to put on my resume although it's mostly bullshit.
In the process of being a geek/nerd/dork/loser, I organized my new poster collection and stored them safely (I have no room for them on my walls). Out of sheer curiousity, I wrote down the names of the posters I have (some of which I'm not sure why I took):

Impressive, huh? Too bad I have nowhere to put them. I might be able to put up some of the minis but I dunno.
I expect that in the next couple of days I'll be able to go back to sleeping on my stomach (I know how much you all care)!! Last night, I laid on my stomach and it didn't hurt! Happiness! But as I kept squirming around in attempt to get comfy, my navel started to hurt so I decided not to risk it. I miss sleeping on my stomach.
I've also been rather cranky today for apparently no good reason. I've also discovered (well, I've actually been aware for awhile but I've just been thinking about it more recently) that I'm rather uptight and anal about many things. And while I may not go off on everyone who isn't as nit-picky as me, I still get worked up over silly things. And I then I of course have to get upset at the fact that I'm getting worked up over something stupid. I'm retarded. Sigh. Anywho, that's all for now folks. Back to being a loser!
