Recent Happenings
Work really sucked today. Long story, but just pray that I start getting a flood of RSVPs via phone/e-mail. And that planning the rest of this event goes smoothly.
In happier news, last Thursday I went to a PRSA networker. I won 2 raffles - a brunch for 2 at the restaurant at The Grove Isle Hotel and wine gift basket from Mercy Hospital with a bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, crackers, brie, and wine accessories.
On Saturday, I went out to dinner with Meghan, Eddie, Natalie, and Manny. Manny and I each had margaritas (granted his was much larger) and we both got a bit buzzed. I bumped my nose on my straw and my burger on the straw. But the most amusing was Manny and I informing everyone how weird it would be if we dated.
Manny: Well, aside from the fact that there's no attraction between you, you got rid of the girls.
Me: That's ok. You wouldn't have known what to do with them.
Manny: Well, I've got magic markers!
Yes, the nonsensical-ness of his response was hysterical. I laughed, I cried, and I laughed some more. It was a fun night!
