Tourney News Flash

Well, the insanity is over. Virtually every night this past week was a late one, but it was worth it. The golf tournament on Thursday was a HUGE success. Though we don't have final numbers, preliminary estimates suggests that the goal was well exceeded. And everyone who attended had a great time and had nothing but positive feedback for the Foundation. Vanessa's head exploded multiple times (I had bits of her brain all over me), but it was well worth it. She did an amazing job and as I, and countless others have told her, the tournament would not have been what it was had it not been for her.

Last night the two of us went out to dinner with other people from the golf tourney committee (and relatives of the founders) to celabrate. I had never been to Bongo's before. It was quite yummy and the midori sour I had was verrrrry good; though the mojito was too strong for me to finish it. The golf committee chairpeople gave Vanessa and me tickets to tonight's Heat game, so that's where we'll be headed. I've never been to a Heat game before, so I'm looking forward to it.

Also, back to the tourney for a moment. People at the dinner have a shitload of money. Auction (live and silent) items went for quite a bit. And Dave Barry rocked and has already said he'd help us out again next year! YAY!

Life is good.

good days, the samantha foundation
