So, Vanessa calls me today to accompany her to Target. After some pleading, I decide that I might as well get off my fat lazy ass and go out of the house. We spent a great deal of time in the DVD section of Target. We (I especially) pulled a bunch of reasonably priced DVDs into our greedy little hands. In order to narrow down our selections, we take over a price checker doo-hicky and make piles on a random aisle. The final selections are made. I make a mental tally of about how much mine totals. As we begin walking toward the register, Vanessa decides to add up her total...
Vanessa: So fourteen and fourteen is twenty-seven.
Me: Is it now?
Vanessa: Yeah...no! Twenty-eight! So this is why I never majored in math...
Hahahaha. Classic. I'm very glad that I left the house. It's been awhile since I've hung out with Vanessa - despite seeing her daily at the office. Plus, I walked away with a nice stash:
-The Wedding Singer: $7.50
-The Princess Bride: $7.50
-Season 3 of The Gilmore Girls: $24.99
-Hearing your friend miscalculate 14 + 14...priceless
Followed by Target was a pleasant dinner and conversation at Panera. Very, very yummy.
And Vanessa - on the way home I came up with the solution to our career woes. I can have a talk show and you can be my writer! Or you can be a kick ass writer and I can be your agent. That'll work.
In other news, I've been a complete bum this weekend. Seriously. The most productive I've been is tagging old LJ entries. I'm almost done with 2004. I'm a sad, sad person. Thought it is a bit entertaining to look at past entries. Typical reactions include, "Wow, that's changed!", "Damn, that's still that way!", "Gee, I'm still THAT annoying!" It's been fun. In a dorky twisted sort of way...
